Dr. Rudy S. Melson, DrPH, MACM, MHA, is President and Founder of Consultants For America’s Veterans (CAV), LLC., a company dedicated to assisting U.S. Military Veterans and servicemembers.
Dr. Melson is an Eagle Scout and a U.S. Military Veteran who began his journey of service with the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol at age sixteen. He later served as a Midshipman in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps ROTC, enlisted as a Healthcare Specialist in the United States Army, and concluded his military service as a Health Services Officer in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
Dr. Melson holds a Doctorate of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from New York Medical College, Masters degrees in Academic Medicine and Health Administration from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with concentrations in Medical Sociology and Public Health. He has served in various civilian roles, including Clinical Risk Manager at Weed Army Community Hospital, Ft. Irwin, CA, and Clinical Systems Informatics Training Instructor at Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point, NY. His diverse background includes teaching and public health consulting, notably providing healthcare administrative expertise internationally and domestically.
